Agreement
By downloading or playing Eutopia you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the game. Eutopia is published by Tartan Studios, an independent developer.
Your licence to play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play Eutopia on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial enjoyment.
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works from the game, nor to redistribute or resell it, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
Multiplayer conduct
Multiplayer matches connect you with another player who will see the display name you have chosen. When playing with others, you agree that you will not:
- Use a display name that is obscene, hateful, harassing, or impersonates another person
- Use a display name containing personal information about yourself or anyone else
- Attempt to disrupt, exploit, or gain unfair advantage in the multiplayer service
- Attempt to access, interfere with, or overload the game's servers
We may remove a display name or block access to multiplayer if these terms are breached.
Playing with people you know. Eutopia matches are joined using a room code that you share directly. There is no public matchmaking and no chat, so you play only with people you have invited.
Availability
Multiplayer depends on an internet connection and on third-party services we do not control. We do not guarantee that multiplayer will be available without interruption, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue online features at any time. Solo play does not require a connection.
Updates
We may issue updates that change, add, or remove features. Some updates are delivered automatically when the game starts. Continuing to play after an update means you accept these terms as they then stand.
Purchases
This version of Eutopia is free and contains no advertising and no in-app purchases. If purchases are introduced in a future version, they will be handled by the App Store, and Apple's refund policies will apply.
Intellectual property
Eutopia, including its code, artwork, audio, and name, is the property of Tartan Studios and is protected by copyright. Eutopia is an original work inspired by early 1980s strategy games; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed from any other publisher.
No warranty
Eutopia is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tartan Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the game. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Privacy
Our handling of data is described in the Eutopia Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with a revised date.
